Objectives: Simulate an 8 story building's behavior subjected to the effects of an earthquake, following a horizontal direction. Reinforced concrete building is based on frameworks without wind bracing. Non-linear behavior of materials was taken account of in the analysis and the main objective was to estimate displacements in each floor as well as to locate the formation of plastic hinges.
