Fire resistance of a gas tank

Fire resistance of the double concrete walls of a gas tank (Lespinasse, France)
Study of the gas tank behaviour under fire sollicitation by 3D numerical modelling and thermal non linear time history analysis.
The study provided by NECS included :
– Validation of the structure design under fire sollicitation and check of its resistance and imperviousness functions,
– Temperature calculation in all points of the structure thanks to a thermal non linear time history analysis,
– Use of the calculated temperatures and input into a modelling for non linear mecanical analysis,
– Check of the calculation convergence at each moment taking into account the deterioration of the material properties under the rise of temperature.
