Mission : to model the seismic behaviour of two adjoining buildings

We have investigated different scenarios of clash. In particular, the filling state of the expansion joint.
As a result, it was necessary to evaluate the harmfulness of interaction between two buildings. All this was done by considering different hypotheses defining the state of the expansion joint: empty, filled with concrete, filled with polystyrene (different moduli of elasticity).

Finally, a study of a reinforcement solution based on bonding was carried out. This consisted of installing seismic dampers between the two buildings.
